Moving all your contacts and media files to a new smartphone or sharing your phone photo or audio collection with others can be a nightmare, or a simple and rewarding task when using Mobile Transfer.

This simple tool will connect any two Android and iOS devices together via your PC, allowing you to copy all your contacts, photos, audio, and video files from one to another with just one click.

Though not exactly “plug-and-play”, the entire setup operation will take but a few minutes of your time, which is nothing compared with the time we used to spend in the past sending our contacts or photos to the new phone one at a time. The steps you will need to take are specific to the OS of your device, and they may even vary from brand to brand, but the program’s help will guide you through the entire setup process. Your PC needs to “recognize” your smartphones or tablets, so specific drivers may need to be downloaded and installed on your computer – usually from each of your devices – the first time you connect them to it. Likewise, all your connected devices will need to have a specific FonePaw app installed on them for the transfer to take place that your devices need to authorize. All of this, together with the specific settings that you will need to tweak to make your smart phone or tablet allow for the import/export operation, might take a few minutes. Once your two devices are “connected”, things change dramatically.

The first device you connected will appear on the left-hand side of the interface, and that will become the “sender” device by default. The second device will appear on the right-hand side, and will be considered as the “receiver” by the program. Thus, the total number of pictures, audio files, and videos that will appear on the center of the screen refer to the ones stored in the sender device, and those are the ones that you can transfer to the receiver. However, you can use the “Switch” button at any time, which will change both their position in the interface and their role in the transfer process. You can select which files and data to transfer by checking or unchecking the boxes provided – thus, you can tell Mobile Transfer to copy all your video files, all your contacts, or all your audio files from the device on the left to the one on the right, and the program will do that for you in a breeze. Regrettably, you won’t be able to “browse” your sender device to select specific pictures or other media files to transfer. This is an “all-or-nothing” operation.

Upgrading your smartphone or backing up your media files to other portable devices is now far from being that tedious and never-ending task that we’ve all gone through at least once. FonePaw Mobile Transfer makes it simple and straightforward, or as much as your devices allow. However, don’t forget to install the most recent version of iTunes on your PC before launching Mobile Transfer for the first time, even if you have no intention of using an iPhone, an iPad, or any other iOS device in the migration process.
